Quick answers about using GoBenta.ph. For legal wording, see Terms & conditions.
GoBenta.ph is an online marketplace that connects buyers and sellers across the Philippines. We host listings, search, and messaging; agreements and payments are between you and the other party unless we say otherwise.
Register or log in, then browse the home page or use the search bar and category strip. To sell, use Sell to create a listing with photos, price, and location. Buyers can message sellers from a listing page to agree on meetup, delivery, and payment.
Open Create a listing, choose a category and optional subcategory, add a title, description, price, and condition. You can set location (province, city, barangay where applicable), upload images, and mark payment options you accept (e.g. GCash, Maya, COD) and whether pasabuy is OK. Save to publish.
The header search looks at listing titles. The category row under the header filters by main category. On the marketplace page, the sidebar (and mobile filters) let you narrow by price, condition, location, and more depending on what we expose—try them together with search.
From a listing (that isn't yours), open Message seller to start a conversation tied to that listing. Your threads appear under Messages. Keep deals and safety in mind; see our Chat, ratings & reviews policy.
Use the heart on a listing to save it. View everything you saved under Saved (you need to be logged in).
On your own listing, after you've agreed with a buyer, use the complete-transaction controls to set the buyer and mark the sale finished. The listing then leaves the public marketplace, appears in your Selling view as sold, and both of you can leave a rating and optional comment.
Live selling lets verified sellers host a stream and showcase products from their shop. Viewers can claim an item during the stream to show interest; you then arrange payment and delivery with the buyer in chat—there is no in-app checkout for live claims. Browse active streams on Live.
You need a normal GoBenta account (register or log in). Then submit a live seller application with your store and verification details. Our team reviews every application; only after approval do you get the verified live seller status and can start a stream. Apply anytime from Apply as Live Seller (Help Center) or from Selling in your account.
The form asks for your store name, contact phone, optional email and Messenger/Viber, a valid ID (image upload), the categories you sell in, and sample listings from your active shop listings. You can add optional notes about past live-selling experience. List a few items first via Create a listing if you need samples.
Applications are reviewed by GoBenta executives(not automatic). You'll see a status such as pending, under review, approved, rejected, or changes requested. If we need more detail, resubmit from the same form when status allows. Only approved sellers receive the verified badge and can use Go live on Selling.
Open Selling, use the Go live section: set a stream title, choose which listings to feature, and start. On the stream page, allow your camera and microphone to broadcast — no YouTube or other embed needed. You'll be taken to your stream page where viewers can watch and claim items.
A buyer claims a product during your stream to signal they want it. You coordinate payment and shipping off-platform as you already do for marketplace deals. Use your live claims list on Selling to track status and mark shipped or completed when appropriate. Same trust and safety habits apply—see Protect yourself (scams).
After a completed transaction, the buyer and seller can each rate the other once for that listing, with an optional written comment. Averages show on profiles and listings. See Chat, ratings & reviews for fair use rules.
Profile is where you edit your display name, photo, and optional trust fields (phone, area, ID label—never full ID numbers). Others see a public page at
/u/your-id with your rating and reviews. Use Selling and Purchased in the account menu to see your listings and completed buys. No—payment badges on a listing only show what the seller is open to (e.g. GCash, Maya, COD). You arrange payment directly with the other person. Read Terms & conditions for limitations of liability.
Stop paying, block the user, and gather evidence. Read Protect yourself (scams) and Contact us if you need help. For crimes, consider reporting to the authorities.
